Parent-Child Classes with Santa Clara County Early Head Start

Parent-Child Classes (PCCs) are designed to foster positive Parent-Child relationship through interactive play. Parents and babies will engage in various activities that support whole child development. Early learning experiences include: Music and Movement Language & Literacy Parent-Child Activities PCCs aim to promote the parent’s role as their child’s first teacher, while also offer parents opportunities to connect with each other, share information, and learn from one another. Reading Buddies provides students in grades TK-5 with an opportunity to improve their reading skills by working one-on-one with a reading coach. Reading Buddies creates a positive reading experience for beginning and developing readers and helps children build confidence as readers. Our reading coach will listen to children read and provide support in phonics, sight words, and comprehension. Students can bring their favorite book or choose from the available selection at the Mt.
