Join Veronica Talton, performing arts educator in the Bay Area, as she presents Rap As Storytelling©. Her presentation explores the evolution of West African oral traditions which led to the creation of the genre of rap and the widely embraced hip hop culture. Attendees will then have the chance to create their own rap verses!  This program is generously sponsored by the San José Public Library Foundation and is in support of SJPL's Spring Into Poetry contest.
