Baby Bounce Storytime

Time: 10:30 AM | Location: Gilroy Library - First floor, in the Nest

Caregivers and babies (12 months old and younger) are invited to join us for an 8 week series of Baby centered storytimes. Baby bounce shares short stories, nursery rhymes, fingerplays and songs that reinforce early literacy skills. Our Baby Bounce and Lapsit is about 20 minutes followed by Stay & Play time. Caregivers are welcome to bring a blanket for their babies to lay on. This program is appropriate for infants and prewalking babies, ages 0-12 months. Storytime at Magical Bridge Playground

Join us for a special storytime at Magical Bridge Playground at Fair Oaks Park, 540 N. Fair Oaks Ave in Sunnyvale. Sensory Storytime

Sensory Storytime is a fun interactive and inclusive literacy program. It engages children through movement, music, active stories, sensory materials and visual schedules. This program is for children with sensory challenges or difficulty being in large groups. It is limited to 12 participants and their caregivers. This program is for ages 3 to 6. This program will be in the Program Room. Registration required. Please arrive early, registrants’ spots are guaranteed only until the start of the program. STEAM Club for Kids

The STEAM Club for Kids is a monthly, one-hour program designed to engage students in hands-on learning across science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Each session introduces a unique STEAM theme featuring an interactive activity, a collaborative project and occasionally a guest speaker. This program takes place on first Friday August thru October and on second Friday in November. Grades: 3rd thru 8th August 1: Mobile and Traditional Art See how mobile devices and traditional art tools help grow creativity through both digital and hands-on art.Bringing your tablet or phone is highly recommended. September 5: The Art of Engineering Explore how engineering blends creativity and design through real-world examples like roller coasters and cars. Friday Fun: Hanging Beaded String-of-Pearls Plant

Join us every Friday for a new craft activity. This week, we’ll make a beaded string-of-pearls plant pot that will sparkle in the sun and can be hung up. All supplies will be provided.Free.
