To celebrate National Poetry Month in April, this workshop will focus on the aural aspect of language. Participants will learn three different poetic devices: alliteration, rhyme, and repetition.  They will practice writing their own poems and performing them to the group. Participants can use their poems to enter into our yearly contest, Spring into Poetry, that the San Jose Public Library sponsors every year. The poem they write can be the poem they submit, or it can be revised, and improved upon to submit later. There are prizes for all age levels.  Encourage your child to participate to raise their awareness of of language. ADA Accommodation Requests
