Summer Music in the Courtyard-Kira Hooks

Kira Hooks is a Filipina-Caucasian singer-songwriter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in Houston, Texas, she spent her formative years living in the Netherlands, Nigeria, Scotland, and China.  Her time abroad deeply informs her musical sensibility and global perspective.  Her music blends elements of soul, jazz, R&B, and folk, characterized by a rich, fluid vocal style and emotionally resonant songwriting.Summer Music in the Courtyard Join us this summer for our 4th annual Summer Music in the Courtyard series, a weekly all-ages event featuring a vibrant mix of live music every Sunday afternoon. Set in Cupertino Library's welcoming outdoor courtyard, each week showcases a different genre from jazz and folk to classical guitar, and world music. There is music for everyone to enjoy.
