Have you ever wanted to learn how to mend your own clothes, or customize the clothes you buy? This is your chance to learn the skills you need! Learn from professional sewist, Bea Bryne, how to shorten pants, mend holes and replace lost buttons. Practice garments will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own clean clothes for advice on how to mend them. All sewing will be done by hand. Basic sewing skills are highly encouraged, but beginners are welcome as well! Age range 11-18. Online registration required. This is a three-hour workshop, and not a drop-in program, so please arrive on time to get the most out of the instruction! For accessibility accommodations (ex. ASL), please fill out the online form at sccld.org/accessibility 7+ days prior to the event. If you need assistance with the form, speak with a staff member at your local library, call (408) 540-3945, or email us at ask@lib.sccgov.org.
