STEM WEDNESDAYS: Owl Pellet Discovery
What did the Barn Owl have for dinner? Children (ages 5-12) will dissect an owl pellet and analyze the bones of the prey of the barn owl. They will learn about owl adaptations, diet, behavior, and their critical role in the wild. Don’t worry, our presenters will also cover what an owl pellet is and where it comes from and the answer may surprise you. Each child will go home with a bag of rodent bones from the dissection!This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of Bascom Branch Library. Free.Ages 5 to 12 recommended.
