STEM Sundays - Cell Candy Model

Join us at the Alviso Branch Library where we will host special STEM themed programs on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month. For each STEM Sunday, we will feature a fun, hands-on activity to help learners develop their Science, Tech, Engineering, or Math skills and experience. Some of the activities will be done in groups at Alviso branch while others may be kits you can work on at the library or take home!On this day, participants will make their own Cell Candy Model. Turn an Oreo, Twizzlers, and M&Ms into a working animal cell model, and learn what the nucleus, mitochondria, and ribosomes actually do. Brought to you by MHS STEMGirls.
