Saul Goodman's Klezmer Band

Join us for live music from Saul Goodman's Klezmer Band! For this performance, Mike Perlmutter (clarinet), Zina Pozen (accordion) and Aaron Goldstein (percussion and vocals) will present a variety of klezmer instrumental music and Yiddish songs, along with explanations about the music, its origins and functions. There will also be a chance for audience participation, as Sasha Waniewski will lead circle dances for some of the dance rhythms performed. Saul Goodman's Klezmer Band draws from their modern cosmopolitan surroundings, while being firmly rooted in traditional Jewish folk music tracing back centuries from Eastern Europe. Their music brings people together and lifts their spirits and energies. They strive to keep it "all good man" wherever they perform. This program is for all ages and will take place in the Library Program Room. Registration is not required.
