Parenting Program: The Safe Link Parent Workshop
More than 300 million children every year are victims of technology-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse, yet most families have no idea how these situations begin or how to approach them. In this parent-focused workshop, teen survivor Cynthia Wang explains how sextortion actually unfolds online, the patterns adults need to recognize, the practical steps families can take to prevent and respond safely, and the conversations that help kids open up without fear or shame. Join us for a grounded, eye-opening conversation rooted in lived experience, and a chance for parents to feel more equipped, confident, and connected to the digital world their kids are navigating every day. Please note that this program is for adults only and is not intended for children. The program will be in the Library Program Room. Registration is recommended. Walk-ins are welcome.
