Pan-Arabic Percussions & Melodies

Rejoice in the music at a live pan-Arabic concert for all ages! Learn all about three different Arabic drums: the derbakki, the riqq, and the frame drum, as well as a range of melodic instruments. Musician Faisal Zedan and his accompanists will engage families with songs and rhythms from a diversity of Arabic music traditions throughout the Middle East and North Africa, from classical music to folk songs and pop. He'll even demonstrate a few beats you can try out for yourself!
