Monthly STEM Workshop

Join us for our monthly STEM Workshop presented by teen volunteers in Girls Empowered in Math and Science (GEMS)! This one-hour workshop includes a brief presentation explaining the concepts involved in the activities.Welcome to Acid VS Base: The Ultimate Showdown. This month’s workshop will explore the colorful science behind acid-base reactions in an hour-long experiment. Participants will be investigating chemical reactions using red cabbage and litmus paper. For a broad range of results, students will use multiple reactants, including lemon juice and baking soda, at varying concentrations. Join us this June to witness a spectacular acid-base matchup!
