LAKEWOOD: Lakewood Branch Library and Learning Center Grand Opening

The wait is officially over—and this opening is going to be spooktacular! After a brief postponement, the Lakewood Branch Library and Learning Center will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 31, with an all-day celebration filled with connection, creativity and curiosity. Join us for live music, a Maker Lab showcase, crafts, giveaways and more. Families are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. Costumed visitors can stop by for a special treat. The new 20,000-plus-square-foot, single-story, all-electric facility is designed to serve children, teens, seniors, families and everyone in between. Visitors can explore comfortable study rooms, dedicated spaces for children and teens, and library programs for all ages. The Maker Lab offers tools and supplies for curious creators, including a 3D printer, laser cutter, sewing machines, large-format printer, vinyl cutters, jewelry-making supplies and arts-and-crafts materials. The Lakewood Branch Library and Learning Center is the result of a community partnership among the City, Sunnyvale School District and Fremont Union High School District.
