Furry Reading Buddies Program (K-5th Grade)

Buddy up with a furry friend and read aloud from your favorite book! Practice your reading skills and build up your self-confidence reading to a patient and furry listener (fully trained therapy dog). This program is for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade. Parents are asked to remain in the room during the 10-minute reading session. Children must register for this program in-person at the Children’s Reference Desk, and may register for one reading session each month. Advanced registration is allowed (up to 2 weeks prior to desired session date). Thank you to Canine Companions (www.canine.org) for co-sponsoring this program. For accessibility accommodations (ex.
