Friday Fun: God's Eyes
Classes are done! No homework is due until Monday! It's time for Friday Fun! Pearl Avenue will present a series of crafts, games, or fun activities each Friday afternoon, starting at 4 p.m. It will be a great way to start off your weekend! God's Eyes, or Ojo de Dios, were first made in Mexico during the 15th century by the Huichol people, who used them for prayer and protection. The Huichol focused their worship on nature and the earth, with the four points representing the elements and the hole left at the center of the weaving served as a portal to the spirit world. We will be making ours with a variety of yarns, sticks, and other materials. Please join us!Please join us every Friday, for something new! Crafts, Board games, Bingo - lots of fun for everyone!
