"Duck and Cover: An Explosion of Science" STEM Workshop

Welcome to Duck and Cover, An Explosion of Science! This October, GEMS. is hosting a natural disaster-themed workshop with three hands-on simulation activities. Participants will begin by creating their very own erupting volcanoes (we will move to the outdoor patio for this activity), and will then build an earthquake shake table to investigate the effects of earthquake shock waves. Finally, students will explore tectonic plate movement with a sugary graham cracker challenge. Protect your head and hold on tight - this month’s workshop will be erupting with science!Free.
