Cookbook Club
April's theme is "unexpected"! Each month we have a theme that you are free to interpret however you'd like. Choose a recipe to make from one of the many cookbooks or other resources in our collection- don't worry, we'll have plenty of suggestions for you! Then we'll meet to talk about books and cooking and enjoy each other's company. Photos of your finished dish are encouraged but not required. This month we're exploring recipes with unexpected ingredients. This could be something you use to boost the flavor or texture in your recipe- think miso paste in your pesto, soy sauce in a beef stew, anchovies in tomato sauce, grape jelly in the sauce for slow cooker meatballs, mock apple pie, or even black beans in your brownies. You can make something you cook all the time or find a new ingredient or technique for your repertoire! Browse our incredible cookbook collection in the Library or our ebooks on CloudLibrary , find something that looks interesting to you, and cook! Come to our meeting ready to talk all about what you made and the book you used. Don't forget to sign up for our Cookbook Club newsletter to get all the latest updates and cookbook suggestions!
