Join us for a discussion with Erika Lynne Jones, children's book author and illustrator of Zara in the Middle and explore how stories and images take shape, from the first spark of an idea through drafting, sketching, revision, and collaboration. We will consider why young readers deserve access to books that invite curiosity, empathy, imagination, and conversation. Erika will share insights into her artistic process, the choices behind the page, and the role children’s literature can play in helping readers see themselves and better understand others.
