An Introduction to Jazz Music for Children

Join us as members of the Dave Rocha Jazz Trio demonstrate jazz improvisation and talk about each of their instruments, such as a trumpet, flugelhorn (cousin to the trumpet), electric guitar, and upright string bass.They will show how the instruments are played and explain what role each instrument plays in the jazz band. The program includes a number of jazz tunes, featuring each instrument. Children (and adults) are encouraged to ask questions throughout the program. Recommended for children ages 5 and up, and families. Registration strongly recommended. Walk-ins will be permitted as space permits. ADA Accommodation Requests
