This intergenerational class offers a lively introduction to Afro-Peruvian culture through dance and music. Participants will learn a joyful Festejo dance routine. The Festejo is the most popular Afro-Peruvian rhythm and is performed at celebrations of all kinds because of its vibrant, festive spirit. The class will also introduce traditional Afro-Peruvian instruments, including the Cajita, Cajón, and Quijada. A question-and-answer session will be held at the end for participants to ask questions and deepen their understanding. Free.  Sign-ups are recommended.
