2025 Youth Essay Writing Contest
Calling all young writers! The Milpitas Youth Essay Writing Contest 2025 is happening on Saturday, October 4, from 1-4:45 p.m. at the Milpitas Library. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top winners! Before registering, be sure to carefully review all contest requirements to ensure eligibility. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to showcase your voice, creativity, and ideas. We can’t wait to read your essays!For more information or to register go to: bit.ly/milpitas-essay25 Essays will be written at the time of the event. Pre-written essays will not be accepted. Essays must be hand written. No computers or tablets are allowed. Supplies provided: - one piece of draft paper - pencil with eraser - lined paper for final essay Length of Essay – one page, double-sided. Topic to be given at the time of the contest. Youth participants must either attend school in Milpitas or live in Milpitas to participate. Essay writing from approximately 1:30-2:30 p.m. Winners announced at approximately 4:30 p.m. Division 1: Grades 4-6 Division 2: Grades 7-8 Division 3: Grades 9-12 Please Note: Participants must be in one of the grade divisions for the 2025-2026 school year. Contest is limited to 50 entrants per division. If the division is full, please join the waitlist. The waitlist will close on October 2.
