Baby Lap-Sit Storytime (Age 0-1)

Join us for Baby Lap-Sit Storytime at the Library! Baby storytime is the perfect way to learn about early literacy with your non-walking baby. Join us in a friendly circle as we read board books together and sing fun songs to engage your non-walking children. Baby Storytime will take place in the Children’s Room before our Library opens - please note that you will need to enter through the Garden Gate on the very right side of the building, instead of entering through our main entrance doors. Time: 10:30 AM | Location: Atherton - Children’s Room
Let’s read, sing, sign, and rhyme together! Play together with your little one as we learn simple sign language and fun ways to fingerplay alongside our stories and music each week. This storytime welcomes all ages, from babies to toddlers to preschoolers and beyond! This event will be held in the children’s room at the Atherton Library. After storytime, join us for Stay and Play, where kids and their caregivers can practice interpersonal skills and have fun learning to share and socialize!

Early learners (babies and toddlers) and their families are welcome to join us at the Library for Storytime, where we will wiggle, sing, read, and dance together! Our program is developmentally appropriate for ages 0-5, and our goal is to create memories and special bonds between caregivers and their children, and to help with building skills for school readiness and for a future of loving books! Journey into the magical world of Journey to the West and discover the story of the Monkey King’s mischief at the legendary Peach Banquet! Children will then use colorful clay to create their own festive mooncake feast while exploring Chinese culture through storytelling and hands-on art. Mid-Autumn Pom-Pom Bunny
Time: 4:00 PM | Location: Atherton
Celebrate Mid-Autumn with us by making your very own Pom-Pom Bunny. The rabbit is an important symbol in Chinese Mythology and acts as Chang’e the Moon Goddess’ companion. This Tuesday we’ll make pom-poms with yarn and scissors and decorate them after to make a bunny companion. No registration required, as supplies last.
