3D Print Tween Camp

This camp meets every Monday in July from 10-11:30am For ages 10-13, must have basic computer skills. We will be 3D printing and designing using Tinkercad, Cura, and uploading to Thingiverse. Preschool Little Learners

Drop in for songs, stories and crafts emphasizing preschool readiness. This program is recommended for ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers. This program will be in the Library Program Room. Reading Buddies / Amigos de la Lectura

Time: 2:30 PM | Location: Biblioteca Latinoamericana Library - Children’s Area

Reading Buddies provides students in grades K–5 with the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills by working one-on-one with a friendly reading coach. This program creates a positive and supportive reading experience for beginning and developing readers, helping children build confidence and fluency. Our reading coach listens as children read, offering encouragement and support in phonics, sight words, and comprehension. Students may bring a favorite book from home or select one from the library’s collection to read aloud. Reading sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The length of each session may be limited depending on the number of participating students and/or available volunteers. This event series takes place in Group Study Room A.  Free. Fuse Bead Crafternoon

Time: 3:00 PM | Location: Biblioteca Latinoamericana Library - Community Room

Design and create small artworks using fuse beads (also known as Perler beads)! In this workshop participants will create their own artwork using colorful fusion beads. This program introduces simple designs, pattern-building, and color planning. Participants can follow ready-made templates or create their own designs. After building their designs on the pegboards, we will safely fuse the beads with heat so everyone can take home their finished design for themselves or others. Registration required: supplies are limited! Knitting Club for Kids

Work on your knitting project, share ideas, and make new friends!   On the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, the Milpitas Library will host a Knitting Club for Kids in the Children’s Activity Room from 4:00 to 5:00.   The Knitting Club is for ages 9-12 only. Limited instruction is available in English but please note, this is not a class. Please bring your own knitting supplies. Participants must have some knowledge of basic knitting.  Space is limited and children will be asked to wait outside if capacity is reached. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers!  Following the Storytime, kids will learn to make a simple and creative craft to take home!We host Vietnamese Storytime and Craft every Friday, plus a special bilingual session on the fourth Tuesday of each month.Free, no registration is required.  Please note that this will be an indoor program.   This program is developed to align with the Early Education Quality Standards.
