Wonderful Ones Storytime

Join us for Wonderful Ones Storytime in the Children’s Room every Thursday at 11 am! We will sing, move, and read together as we work on developing our early literacy skills while also building community connections. This program is specifically intended for the developmental stages of one year olds but concepts can be transferred to similar ages. Explore Possibilities with Nature Journaling
Time: 4:00 PM | Location: College Terrace Library
Description Poet Mary Oliver ‘s advice for life is to “pay attention, be astonished, and tell about it” — something you can do on the road or even close to home! Nature journaling is one such activity that encourages you to pay close attention to your surroundings, get curious, and put it all down on paper so you can easily share or reflect on your own memories and experiences. During this workshop, attendees will be led through a series of exercises to warm up their eyes and hands. Then we will venture into Mayfield Park, sketching as we go. Pencils and small sketchbooks, as well as a resource list, will be provided to use and take home. No artistic experience is necessary! This workshop is about the process, and people of all levels are encouraged to attend. Due to the outdoor location of this event, tweens should be accompanied by their adult.

We’ll also have a selection of premade buttons available for you to take home. Whether you’re making something bold and bright or subtle and meaningful, this is a welcoming space for everyone to craft, connect, and celebrate identity, inclusion, and community. Gear Up! Designing for a Purpose

Description Join us for a hands-on exploration of robotics and the design thinking process! Participants will practice hands-on engineering skills using the Hummingbird Bit Kit , and work towards a cumulative project over the course of this one-week summer workshop. Students will learn how to block code, use sensors, and combine design thinking with technical skills. Walk away with a newfound excitement for engineering! Program hosted by members of Gatorbotics, Castilleja High School ‘s competitive FRC team. Recommended for ages 7-11.

Join us in the park for an evening of family fun. Tonight, Duncan Playful Circus presents The True Color of Love, a bilingual (Spanish and English) interactive circus show. This program is for all ages. This program will be at Washington Park, 840 W Washington Ave. No registration is required. This program is a part of the 2026 Summer Reading Program Unearth a Story.
