Tai Chi with Nelson Ng ADJUSTED TIME
Time: 10:00 AM | Location: Rinconada Library - Embarcadero Room
Description To accommodate other library programming, this week’s class will be 1-hour from 10:00am-11:00am. Weather permitting, the session will continue outdoors from 11:00-12:00. Join us for Tai Chi sessions with Nelson Ng! In this weekly class, participants will learn the basic principles and the philosophy behind Tai Chi, gaining flexibility and a better sense of balance through slow, gentle movement. Nelson started learning Chen’s Tai Chi in 1989 from Master Gene Chen, who was a disciple of Grandmaster Feng ZhiQiang. Nelson has been teaching since 2014. This class is free and open to beginners as well as those who have previous Tai Chi experience. People of all ages are welcome. You must sign in upon arrival.
Neurosphere: Neuroscience and More! Grades 3-8
Time: 11:00 AM | Location: Mitchell Park Library - Midtown Room
Description Come join teen-led group NeuroSphere! NeuroSphere is a community for curious 3rd-8th graders about medicine! This session will dive into the basics of brain function, fun activities to test your brainpower, and an introduction to future career opportunities. There will be snacks- feel free to bring a friend! We’re a group of high school students driven by a passion for neuroscience and the wonders of the brain. Our mission is to inspire curiosity and spark a love for science in younger students by creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Through NeuroSphere, we hope to share our knowledge, connect with the community, and encourage the next generation of future scientists and innovators! Questions? Palo Alto Earth Day Festival
Time: 1:00 PM | Location: Art Center Auditorium - Event will take place on the Front Lawn of the Art Center
Description Save the date to join us for a day of fun celebrating sustainability and learning about what you can do now to help save the planet. Learn about available resources for Palo Alto residents to make an impact and ways your neighbors are taking climate action to support achieving the City’s 80x30 S/CAP goals. Where: Palo Alto Art Center (1313 Newell Rd) – primarily on the lawn and sculpture garden The Library will join various City departments and organizations, promoting our services and collections that support sustainability. Librarian Jennifer will be hosting a special storytime in the sculpture garden. More details to come! With limited parking, and in the spirit of Earth Day, consider walking, biking, or taking transit to the event. Bike parking and repair stations will be available.

Miss Molly Bubbles
Time: 2:00 PM | Location: Sunnyvale Library
Kick off National Library Week with a fun bubble show from Miss Molly Bubbles! This program is recommended for ages 3 and up and their caregivers. This program will be in the Library Program Room. No registration is required, but space is limited. Doors will close when the program is full. This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library.
