Sensory Storytime

Sensory Storytime is a fun interactive and inclusive literacy program. It engages children through movement, music, active stories, sensory materials and visual schedules. This program is for children with sensory challenges or difficulty being in large groups. It is limited to 12 participants and their caregivers. This program is for ages 3 to 6. This program will be in the Program Room. Registration required. Please arrive early, registrants’ spots are guaranteed only until the start of the program. Furry Reading Buddies for Grades K-5

Buddy up with a furry friend and read aloud from your favorite book! Practice your reading skills and build up your self-confidence reading to a patient and furry listener (fully trained therapy dog). This program is for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade. Parents are asked to remain in the room during the 10-minute reading session. Children must register for this program in-person at the Children’s Reference Desk, and may register for one reading session each month.
