Friends of the Sunnyvale Library Book Sale
Time: 10:00 AM | Location: Sunnyvale Library
The Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library is hosting a two-day book sale. Join us in the Library Program Room, where you will find books for children and adults, movies on DVD and Blu-Ray, and music CDs. There will be items in English as well as other languages. Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (members only at 9 a.m.) Sunday: noon to 3 p.m. ($5 bag sale) Sunday is a $5 Bag Sale, where you buy a bag for $5 and fill it with what fits. While the Library opens at 1 p.m., the Bag Sale begins at noon. Only the Book Sale will be accessible from noon until the Library opens at 1 p.m. All sales help sponsor library programs and promote literacy. We accept multiple forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit and debit. Become a member at the sales. Membership is $10 for individuals per year. Become a Life Member for $200. Bay Area Games Day

Come learn how to play a new board game, or bring an old favorite! Bay Area Games Day is a full day of convention-style open gaming that has been happening at the library since 1998. We play mostly more recent hobbyist games, but also classic strategy games such as Catan or Pandemic, and family and party games. Family Storytime With Stay and Play!
Time: 10:30 AM | Location: Atherton
Get ready to learn and play with your little one! Hear new stories, sing songs and learn wiggles that the whole family can enjoy together, from toddlers to grown-ups. This event will be held in the children’s room at the Atherton Library. Storytime will be held the first 30 minutes of the hour. After Storytime, join us for Stay and Play, where kids and their caregivers can practice interpersonal skills and have fun learning to share and socialize!
Family Storytime at Cupertino Library

Join us for Family Storytime for all ages in our program room! This storytime series is suitable for all ages and will feature stories, songs, rhymes and dances, all to encourage the development of crucial early literacy skills. Parents and children will listen together, learn together, and sing together. Storytime is limited to the first 100 families, with a maximum of 2 adults per family group. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to sit on.

Ab-SEW-lute Beginners

Pokemon GO at the Library!

Calling All Pokémon Trainers! Think you’ve got what it takes to be the very best, like no one ever was? Join us at the library for an epic Pokémon GO Adventure Day! Throughout the event, we will be activating lures on our in-house PokéStops, turning the library into a hotspot for rare encounters and rapid-fire catching. It is the perfect chance to level up, fill your Pokédex, and maybe even stumble upon something legendary! Trainers of all ages can enjoy Pokémon-themed crafts and activities, whether you are a seasoned Gym battler or just starting your journey. This event is a great opportunity to meet fellow Pokémon GO players, trade tips, share catches, and connect with a whole community of fans. No registration needed. Just drop in and join the adventure! Kids in STEM [Niños/as en STEM]

Want to learn more about STEM? Our Kids in STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering, Math] program at Gilroy Library will explore these subjects and will teach kids about careers in STEM. They will get a chance to do arts and crafts projects to help them understand the subjects. The workshops will be led by our teen volunteers. This workshop is for kids in 2nd-5th grades. ¿Quieres aprender más sobre STEM? Nuestro programa “Niños en STEM” [ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas] en la Biblioteca de Gilroy explorará estas materias y les enseñará a niños sobre las carreras en estos campos. Tendrán la oportunidad de realizar proyectos de manualidades para comprender mejor los temas. Girls Who Code

The Los Gatos Library has partnered with @GirlsWhoCode to create a club meant for people ages 12-18 to learn to code and change the world! “What will I Learn? Our middle and high school Clubs encourage you to impact the community in a positive way through code. In order to build the skills you need to make an impact, you will learn how to code from our fun online tutorials and activities that will help you build animations, games, apps, and other things that you dream up!
