Storytime is designed to accommodate a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement activities. Storytime is a fun and interactive experience for the whole family that promotes the joys of reading and learning for all ages. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers! Free, with limited capacity. Seating for Storytime is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of tickets will be distributed at the Information Desk before Storytime. A second Storytime will be held if many families miss the first one. Baby Lapsit & Playtime

Join us for songs and bounces just right for babies 0 to 12 months. After storytime, stay for playtime. This program is for babies 0 to 12 months and their caregivers. No older siblings please. This program will be in the Library Program Room. No registration required, but space is limited. Doors will close when the room is full. Every Thursday at 11:00 AM, children will enjoy early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement activities all in the Japanese language. This program is brought to the library by Poponta Children’s Cultural Society. Established in 2008 and based in San Mateo, Poponta is comprised of a group of volunteers dedicated to serving the Japanese-speaking community. Join us for open time to use the library’s sewing machines. Bring your own project or pick from a previous library sewing project. Needles, thread, iron, and cutting tools are provided for use in the library. No fabric is provided except for scraps. Preschool Storytime for Ages 3-5

This thirty-minute story time is geared for preschoolers ages 3, 4, and 5. The early literacy focus is on longer picture books and flannel board stories and other storytelling activities and fingerplays. Night Owl Storytime

Join us for Night Owl Storytime at 7 p.m. This program is for children of all ages and their caregivers. This program will be in the Library Program Room. No registration required, but space is limited. Doors will close when the room is full.
