Family Storytime With Stay and Play!
Time: 10:30 AM | Location: Atherton - Children’s Room
Get ready to learn and play with your little one! Hear new stories, sing songs and learn wiggles that the whole family can enjoy together, from toddlers to grown-ups. This event will be held in the children’s room at the Atherton Library. After Storytime, join us for Stay and Play, where kids and their caregivers can practice interpersonal skills and have fun learning to share and socialize!
Family Storytime
Time: 11:00 AM | Location: Sunnyvale Library
Join us for Family Storytime at 11 a.m. This program is for children of all ages and their caregivers. This program will be in the Library Program Room. No registration required, but space is limited. Doors will close when the room is full. Accessibility: Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Sunnyvale will make reasonable efforts to accommodate persons with disabilities. Maker Exploration for Families

Want to explore our Makerspace? Come and join us during our open hours to learn about 3D Printing and Laser cutting! This session is intended for families of all ages looking to explore our space! Open Makerspace at Atherton Library is also available on: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 PM
Holiday Hullabaloo

Join us this winter at Milpitas Library to celebrate the holidays. We will have fun crafts, holiday music, and a Santa. Ab-SEW-lute Beginners
Time: 2:00 PM | Location: Portola Valley
Basic sewing setup and use instructions for those with little to no experience! Plus, a simple craft project. Children are welcome to participate with adult caregivers present. Return participant? Feel free to arrive at 2:30 PM, when the craft portion begins. One signup per party, with members sharing a machine. Limited sewing machine availability.REGISTER HERE
The Great Winter Puzzle Race
Time: 2:30 PM | Location: Atherton - Makerspace
The first team to complete their puzzle wins! Gather up a team of up to four members and get ready to put your dexterity to the test. The team that finishes first or completes the most before time is called wins! Can you and your team put your puzzle together faster than your friendly competition? Each team will receive the same 500-piece puzzle as provided by the library. Teams can be made up of all different ages. Registration is only needed for 1 person per team, so if you’re teaming up with more than one fellow puzzler, you only need to register once!
Celebrating Yalda Night
Time: 3:00 PM | Location: Palo Alto - Children’s Library
Description Join us to celebrate Yalda Night, the Winter Solstice. In Persian culture, this marks the longest night of the year, typically falling on December 20th or 21st. It symbolizes the end of autumn and the beginning of winter. We will present a short story about Yalda with music and create pomegranate paper crafts. All materials will be provided. Children ages three and up, along with their adult caregivers, are invited to participate. Materials will be available while supplies last, so please arrive on time.
