Join us for Baby Lap-Sit Storytime at the Library! Baby storytime is the perfect way to learn about early literacy with your non-walking baby. Join us in a friendly circle as we read board books together and sing fun songs to engage your non-walking children. Baby Storytime will take place in the Children’s Room before our Library opens - please note that you will need to enter through the Garden Gate on the very right side of the building, instead of entering through our main entrance doors. Description Join Librarian Jennifer (and Rocky Raccoon) on Tuesdays at 11:00 AM for Family Storytime at Children’s Library! Come sing, rhyme, and read stories with us! While this storytime will be geared towards those older than 2 years, all ages are welcome! BYOS (bring your own scarf)! Some of our songs use scarves as props. Bring something scarf-like (any piece of fabric). Otherwise, you can always pretend! Make sure to follow us on YouTube for more stories, songs and rhymes, including a playlist of all of our favorite songs to sing!

Do you have a reluctant reader? Sign your child up to have their own session to practice reading with a therapy dog at the library. Studies show that children who may not want to read in front of their peers are much less anxious with an animal present. Children don’t perceive animals as judgmental, and reading to an animal helps them become more confident readers. We’d like to thank our partners for making this possible: Pet Assisted Therapy teams and their handlers from the Peninsula Humane Society & the SPCA’s Paws for Tales program. Registration is required and space is limited, so register early for your 10-minute slot.

Crafty Corner (Ages 3-10)

Take some time out of your afternoon to imagine and create! Join us for a crafty activity in the Children’s Room. (Previously known as Tinker Tuesday.) This program is geared towards children ages 3 through ~10. This program takes place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 4 pm in the Children’s Room. Hot Cocoa Study Break

Take a quick break while you’re studying for finals or finishing end-of-semester school work! Choose your packet in Study Room A and join us by the Makerspace where we’ll have a station for you to fill up a cup of cocoa or cider to enjoy while you study. Learn about our free online tutoring and writing lab, HelpNow! 1 drink per student.
Drop-In Sewing

Do you have a sewing project to complete? Come visit our Makerspace and use our sewing machines that are available for you to use!Materials are provided and limited amount of fabric will be available, please bring your own fabric! This program is intended for adults and teens who are already familiar with using sewing machines. Minimal instructions will be given.
