Sunnyvale Gingerbread Village Submission
Time: 9:00 AM | Location: Sunnyvale Library
The tradition continues! The Library is hosting the Sunnyvale Gingerbread Village for our fifth year, and we need your help! The village will be on display in the Library’s lobby from Sunday, Dec. 7 until early January 2026. How to participate: Email Winnie Lam, Sunnyvale Arts Commissioner to sign up by Monday, Nov. 24. Drop off your creation at the library on Sunday, Dec. 7 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. There are two themes this year: Tropical Jungle and Gingerbread City. However, you are welcome to use your creativity to make whatever you like. Limit one submission per household, with a maximum size of 12 inches long x 12 inches wide x 10 inches tall. Due to space constraints, we may not be able to display submissions if the size exceeds these dimensions or if more than one per household is submitted. The village will be assembled in the afternoon of Dec. 7, and will stay on display through early January 2026. Please note: submissions will not be returned. Inappropriate, offensive or political content is not permitted. Building suggestions: You may use a store bought gingerbread house kit (available at local stores or online) or make your own. We recommend using a hot glue gun to hold your house together instead of icing, but use glue sparingly when possible so the houses can be FoodCycled when the display is over. Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library.
