Happy Baby Signs: ASL Storytime for Babies (0-2 years)
Time: 9:30 AM | Location: Los Gatos Public Library - Children’s Room
Join William White from Happy Baby Signs for a fun Sign Language Storytime! This workshop introduces several beginning baby signs that are based on American Sign Language (ASL). You will learn about the research and important benefits of signing with your baby along with the techniques on how to teach your preverbal baby to sign. Fun activities and songs will show you how easy it can be to integrate simple signs into your everyday routine to jump-start your baby’s verbal skills. Ages 0-24 months are welcome. This program will begin before the Library opens. The Children’s Room will be accessible via the Garden door entrance from 9:15am. The rest of the Library will be closed until 10 AM. Caregivers must participate in the program with their children, and will not be permitted to access other areas of the Library during this time. This event is in substitution of Baby Lap-Sit Storytime. The Los Gatos Library recognizes the diversity of our community and is committed to accessibility for all patrons. We strive to make every visitor feel comfortable by ensuring equal access to programs, services, and activities. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in a library program, please contact library@losgatosca.gov

LEGO Tuesdays!

Description We have the LEGOs! Bring your imagination and build something fun! LEGOs will stay at the library, so be sure to snap a pic of your creation! In addition to being a great way to introduce the engineering and art concepts of STEAM, playing with LEGO’s supports early childhood development because children engage in problem solving, teamwork, self-confidence, and creativity!
