Join us for Baby Lap-Sit Storytime at the Library! Baby storytime is the perfect way to learn about early literacy with your non-walking baby. Join us in a friendly circle as we read board books together and sing fun songs to engage your non-walking children. Baby Storytime will take place in the Children’s Room before our Library opens - please note that you will need to enter through the Garden Gate on the very right side of the building, instead of entering through our main entrance doors. Magic Hour: Sensory-Friendly Library Playtime/Hora Mágica: Tiempo de Juego Sensorial Amigable

Join us for Magic Hour, an inclusive playtime in the library, specially adapted for children with autism, sensory processing challenges, or who struggle in large groups. This program takes place on the fourth Tuesday of the month, when the library will be opened especially for this group. It is a time set aside for children and their caregivers to have a wonderful time at the library when it is closed to everyone else.This self guided play time will have sensory-sensitive toys available and the new play space will be open along with the entire Children’s area. We keep the lights low and use natural lighting, computers are turned off, and the doors are closed to reduce outside noise and help keep runners and wanderers safe. It’s a relaxed time to explore, play, and connect—free from the hustle and bustle of regular library hours.****Únase a nosotros para la Hora Mágica, un tiempo de juego inclusivo en la biblioteca, especialmente adaptado para niños con autismo, procesamiento sensorial o que se sienten incómodos en grupos grandes. Crafternoon: Painting Pumpkins

Join us weekly as we use our imagination and creativity to make art! This week, we’ll be decorating mini pumpkins using paint. Join us at the Gilroy Library for four fun-filled ukulele classes! Whether you’re a total beginner or just looking to brush up on your skills, bring your enthusiasm and get ready to make music. 🎸 Class Schedule: Tuesdays from 4 PM – 5 PM: October 7, 14, 21, and 28 (November 4 and 18 dates added) Mrs. Chavez returns to provide a fun learning experience. She will lead the way through easy-to-follow lessons and help you make music on day one. All materials are provided, including if you need a ukulele (while supplies last). If you already have your own, just bring it along and join in the fun!
